FCE 2018
Once
again a group of 4th of ESO students have taken the First Certificate Examination (B2).
They are brilliant candidates who have been hard-working and committed. We
all hope they pass it.
Why
do we encourage our students to take the FCE?
- · Because you gain a deeper understanding of English.
- · Because it is recognised by the majority of universities.
- · Because it boosts your CV.
- · Because students get a wonderful sense of satisfaction.
And why not continue all the way to the Cambridge Advanced Exam?

Everything, a romantic drama based on Nicola Yoon's YA best-selling
novel about Maddy Whittier, a teenage girl with a
severe auto-immune disorder who falls in love with her new neighbour, Olly
Bright. It’s a teen romance turning boy-meets-girl
into a life-or-death crisis.

THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS
A powerfully affecting and unusual view of the Holocaust
3rd ESO has seen The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, based on John Boyne's novel. This film shows the Holocaust through the uncomprehending eyes of a child – eight-year-old Bruno, whose Nazi officer father moves with his family to a new home near a concentration camp. Bruno perceives this as a farm, and befriends a Jewish boy Shmuel with devastating consequences.

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC
A witty, unusual, original and
thought-provoking film
4th ESO
has seen Captain Fantastic, a film about six brothers and sisters,
aged seven to 18, who have been raised to fend, fight, and think for themselves
in the woods. However, the family is forced by circumstances to
reintegrate into society after living in isolation for a decade.
